Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Pivot Scale Labs collects through this website, why we collect it, how it is stored, and the rights you have over it.
This page is reviewed whenever the site’s configuration or data practices change. The version published here is the current one.
What we collect
When you submit the contact form we collect the details you enter: your name, work email, company, website, country, the service you are interested in, an optional budget range and your project description.
Our web server also records basic technical information in standard logs, such as the pages requested and the time of the request. We do not use this to build advertising profiles.
Why we collect it
To respond to your enquiry, to prepare an accurate plan or proposal, and to keep a record of the conversation if we work together.
When you accept analytics cookies, aggregated usage data tells us which pages are useful and where people get stuck. Before you choose, and if you decline, Google Analytics runs without cookies.
Cookies and consent
If you are in the EU, the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, a banner asks on your first visit whether we may set analytics cookies. Nothing is assumed and nothing is loaded in advance: the Google tag is not even requested until you accept. Accept and Google Analytics may set its cookies, including _ga, so we can see which pages help.
Everywhere else the analytics tag loads straight away and those cookies may be set without asking first, because the law where you are does not require us to ask. You can still turn it off, and the banner will not appear on its own.
To work out which of the two applies, we look up your IP address against a local copy of the DB-IP Lite country database, on our own server. The IP address is not stored, logged for this purpose, or sent to any third party. IP geolocation data by DB-IP (https://db-ip.com), used under CC BY 4.0.
Google Analytics runs in consent mode. Where your region requires consent, until you accept, and if you decline, no cookies or identifiers are written to your device and no request is made to Google at all. Advertising storage is denied either way.
You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings control in the footer. Declining there stops further storage and deletes the analytics cookies that were already set on your device; it cannot reach cookies set by other sites you have visited.
How we store it
Form submissions are stored in a secured, access-controlled system and are not sold, rented or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Enquiries are kept for as long as they are useful for the business relationship, and then deleted on request.
Your rights
You can ask what personal data we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will action a verified request.
If you are in the UK or EU, you also have the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
